Raven Golf Club at Snowshoe Resort Info

The Raven Golf Club, previously known as the Hawthorne Valley at Snowshoe, is nestled in the scenic hills of Pocahontas county, WV. This 18-hole Gary Player signature mountian course, features a full practice facility and all the amenities known to other Intrawest "Raven" courses. This course was designed with the average golfer in mind. The terrain is very hilly and requires many uphill shots. Gary Player used a lot of the natural terrain while designing this course. The front nine plays through hardwoods and around several lakes, and then climbs into higher elevations for the back nine, with several cliff-side tee boxes. Some of the greens overlook the entire mountain side, while others are also on top of a cliff. The fairways are tight, including eleven that are tree lined, so there is a real need for accuracy.
