Turtle Point Golf Course at Kiawah Island Resort DescriptionThe Turtle Point Course is the longest of the four Kiwah Island Resort courses and features tree-lined fairways and numerous lagoons coming into play. This course is highlighted by three spectacular oceanside holes. The fairways are narrow, and the small greens are well-bunkered. The signature hole is #15, a 412-yard, par 4, requiring shots up a narrow fairway lined on the left side by the Atlantic Ocean and sand dunes, and a prevailing southeast wind can also create problems. Opened in 1981, Turtle Point has a low profile design that takes advantage of the island's natural contours and dune ridges. The course flows seamlessly through interior forests of hardwoods and palmettos, along backwater lagoons and finally to three spectacular holes along the Atlantic Ocean.
