Cougar Point Golf Club at Kiawah Island Resort Info

This resort, which was named to "GOLF Magazine's" 1998 list of "Silver Medal Resorts," features four outstanding eighteen hole courses.

The Cougar Point Course is short and has small greens. This course plays through the western part of the island and meanders through the marshlands. The narrow fairways demand accurate shot placements, and the small greens are undulating. There are water hazards that come into play on thirteen holes. There is a halfway house located on hole #10.

Cougar Point is a great addition to Kiawahs collection of golf. Built in 1997 on the site of the former Marsh Point course, many Resort guests proclaimed Cougar Point their favorite course on the island. Designed by Gary Player, the par-72 layout features holes playing directly along broad expanses of tidal marsh, offering panoramic views of the Kiawah River and acres of needlerush and spartina grass.
