This first-class resort, which was named to "GOLF Magazine's" 1996 list of "Silver Medal Resorts," features four award-winning eighteen hole courses and a nine hole par 3 course. The Jones Masterpiece Course is the most difficult layout because the greens are small and fast, and the fairways are narrow and tree lined. The Fazio Premier Course and the Smith Signature Course have somewhat more forgiving fairways, but are still tree lined. The greens are large, and there is just one water hazard coming into play on the Smith Signature Course. "GOLF Magazine" named it 80th among the "Top 100 Courses You Can Play in the U.S." for 1998, and the Smith Signature Course was ranked 89th in the same category. The par 3 Threetops Course has many outstanding holes including #3, a 216-yard, par 3, featuring a 145-foot vertical drop from tee to green.
